NASSCOM's India ITES-BPO Strategy Summit 2007

Event Date:6-7 August
Event Place: Banglore

The NASSCOM's annual India ITES-BPO Strategy Summit 2007, the country's premier conference on the rapid growth industry, will take place in Bangalore from 6 - 7 August 2007.

The summit this year will provide a bird's eye view of the IT-BPO sector and its transformation over the past few years. Besides logging in a radical growth of around 32 percent and notching up revenues of around US$ 8.3 billion in 2006-07, the Indian ITES-BPO industry also matured in terms of the services it began providing to global clients. From a situation where ITES-BPO organizations were predominantly into basic data entry tasks, today, the industry has graduated to a high proportion of voice-based services and a range of back-office processing activities.

The industry is witnessing an increasing emphasis on the cost-plus, additional strategic levers that it can deliver include innovation of the underlying business process being outsourced, improved competitive positioning, managing customer expectations, elevation of the strategic role of the retained organisation, optimal resource allocation, support for globalisation of their businesses, and technology support and access.

The Summit will provide insights on the following:

  • The findings of NASSCOM's ITES-BPO Landscape Study
  • Customer acquisition and its contribution towards the ITES-BPO growth story
  • The expansion witnessed in the scope of services provided by Indian IT-BPO companies
  • The migration by service providers towards increasingly complex, high value processes, involving rule-based decision-making
  • The emergence of "high-end" Knowledge-based processes such as financial services research support and analysis, econometrics, data analytics and modeling, business/corporate research/competitive intelligence, legal services, animation and game development services and medical transcription services on the radars of Indian vendors
  • Delivery of BPO services across a range of verticals including Finance and Accounting (F&A), Customer Interaction Services (CIS) and Human Resource Administration (HRA)
  • Best practices and insights on talent management, performance management, technology, ROI and contracts
The NASSCOM India ITES-BPO Strategy Summit 2007 will spotlight well-known thought gurus, eminent speakers and analysts, who will share this as a common platform to talk about:
  • The opportunities within the existing vertical segments
  • How ITES-BPO companies can not only grow these markets, but also achieve finer segmentation and identify sub-verticals that open up new business opportunities
  • The new geographies, beyond the US and UK that can be developed by Indian BPOs
  • The opportunities presented by the Indian domestic market for BPO services
  • How companies strong in the IT services space, can leverage this link to provide integrated IT-BPO offerings to customers
  • Role that account management and investments in front-end activities such as sales and marketing can play in enabling BPOs to build differentiators in the market
  • The need for ITES-BPO companies to adopt a Global Delivery Model and take the multi-sourcing approach - how this model can be deployed and scaled by BPOs, with multiple centers in India and overseas
